Happy Valentine's Day

My favorite Valentine is my family. (My husband of 16 years & my 3 daughter's). I just made an organic chocolate cake with chocolate frosting for dessert tonight. Dinner will consist of red & white food items. I hung a red metallic banner over my husband's chair that says "Love you forever". I put out a plate with Lindt truffles & ghiradelli raspberry chocolate squares. My 2 oldest girls will receive a small box of chocolates & my husband (I will sneak a few) will get the box of exquisite chocolates that i picked up at the chocolate shop yesterday.

Final secret pal package received

Now I know my secret pal partner. Her name is Judith and she's from Omaha, Nebraska. She sent me a book titled "the knitter's book of handy patterns", 2 skeins of Mondial bamboo yarn in fall colors, and she sent me some handmade cards personalized with my name on them. Terrific. Another great round of Secret Pal.

What a sweet gift

I recently did a swap on Ravelry. The woman knew that I just had a baby and she took a few days and knitted this up for me and included it in the swap package. I almost cried. Just beautiful.

Look at what I couldn't resist!

I attended a fair at my children's school. There was a booth with people from Ecuador selling these beautiful 50% wool/50% cotton sweaters. Any kids sweaters were $ 25 each. So although my baby is only 4 months old right now, I could not resist these 2. They are size 2 so they wont fit her for 2 years but at that price, I couldn't care. Nice buy!

Secret Pal package

look at the yummy soft yarn. It's 3 skeins of Cash Vera DK in Charcoal color. I see a scarf or hat with this yarn. A soft knitted wash cloth, lavender soap. A candle from Yankee Candles that I forgot to put in the photo. It sits downstairs on the piano. Smells very nice.
